Two Xiaomi Handsets Certified By Chinese Regulator TENAA

There are two Xiaomi smartphones that were recently certified by the Chinese regulator TENNA. The Mi 2015811 and Mi 2015812 were reported to have received certification, indicating that its release is forthcoming.

According to Android Headlines, a couple of upcoming Xiaomi smartphones have showed up on the website of China's telecom equipment certification center, TENAA. Both of the devices only come with an identifying model numbers rather than their commercial names. As for the model numbers, the first handset was listed as the Mi 2015811, the second one came with the moniker Mi 2015812.

When it comes to the list of the hardware specs that can be ascertained from the TENAA listing, the Mi 2015811 will sport a 5-inch HD display (1280 x 720). It will be will be engineered with an octa-core, 1.5 GHz CPU of unspecified make; a 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of storage out of the box; and Android 5.1 Lollipop pre-loaded.

When it comes to the cameras, the rear-facing shooter will either have a 13-megapixel or an 8-megapixel sensor, while the front-facing snapper will be of the 5-megapixel variety. The Mi 2015811 will weigh 143 grams and will have a thickness of 8.5 mm. The unit which will be available in Silver, Gray and Gold color will support LTE connectivity, alongside Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and USB.

For the second model Mi 2015812, ABRUZZO.TV stated that this handset features a 5.5-inch display. It will be engineered with a 1.8GHz Snapdragon 808 hexa-core chipset coupled with 2GB of RAM. A 16 GB internal storage that can be further expanded using a microSD card, and the usual connectivity options such as Bluetooth and Wi-Fi are also expected from the handset. However, the battery size and any special features are unknown at this time.

Brazil Press predicts that one of these upcoming handsets could be the Xiaomi Redmi 3 that is reported to be a budget-ranged hardware device. But that proclamation has not been independently verified and proven yet.

With the two upcoming handsets by Xiaomi being certified on a TENAA, this hints the launch date to might come around soon. Still, avid fans of the Chinese tech giant will have to keep an eye for further announcements regarding the schedule of their release.
