Asus ZenFone Go 4.5: Most Affordable Asus Smartphone Released in India; Specs, Price Detailed

Before year 2015 ended, Asus has released the ZenFone Go 4.5 to the second largest smartphone market, India. This handset is already available for purchase through Flipkart and Asus exclusive stores. However, those who do not want to order through those channels need not worry since as the new device will be available in other e-commerce stores and other physical stores starting the second week of January 2016.

According to Crossmap, the new ZenFone sports a 4.5-inch FWVGA display with a 480 x 854 resolution. Engineered with a 1.3GHz MediaTek MT6580M quad-core SoC chipset, it has 1 GB RAM, 8 GB of internal storage that can be expanded up to 64 GB through its microSD slot.

NDTV Gadget noted that the Asus ZenFone Go 4.5 is armed with a 5-megapixel rear-facing camera with a 0.3 megapixel front facing snapper. It is slated to run on the Android Lollipop 5.1 with Zen UI 2.0 out of the box and be powered by a 1600 mAh battery.

Other features of the device include 3G connectivity, Wi-Fi, GPS, a GPS, Bluetooth, FM, and a dual-SIM capability.

For additional storage, Asus is offering a 5 GB lifetime storage and 100 GB of Google Drive storage for free in the first two years. The best part is that the Asus ZenFone Go 4.5 is tagged at only Rs. 5,299 at around $80.

Tech Radar added that the Asus ZenFone Go 4.5 is an exclusive via Flipkart for now and users can get up to Rs 2,000 off with the exchange of an older device. The exchange amount will be depending on the kind of device users have, so it will not be the same value for every handset.
