Vin Diesel confirmed that Fast and Furious 8 is coming back this April. Recent announcement made by Vin Diesel said that the franchise might bring Paul Walker's character Brian O' Connor's standalone spin-off enacted by Cody Walker, Paul Walker's brother.
While fans all over the world were mourning due to Paul Walker's untimely death, they thought that the Furious family will never be complete again. Fortunately, the production team was able to find a solution on how to bring Brian O' Connor back to life in Furious 7 - thanks to CGI.
Vin Diesel, who recently casted Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone in his xXx sequel also admitted that Fast and Furious franchise has always had spin-offs and prequels in min. Ron Meyer, NBC Universal Vice-Chairman confirms that there will be flashback scenes of Paul Walker in Fast and Furious 8.
Meyer said, "Paul won't be in it, but he'll be represented in some form or another but whether his image is in it, I can't tell you yet, but he won't be in the film as a performer, as an actor, the way we did it last time." He also added that the script for Fast and Furious 7 always depicted the struggle of Paul Walker's character to come to terms with the criminal life he led and the voice inside himself to abandon everything and return to his family.
Diesel said that Paul Walker used to say that eight was guaranteed. 'When your brother guarantees something, you sometimes feel like you have to make sure it comes to pass, Furious 7′ was for Paul; 8 is from Paul.' He added.
