Francisco Jose Garzon, the train driver of the big train crash in northeast Spain last week, was charged Sunday with 79 counts of homicide by professional recklessness and a yet to be determined number of counts by causing injury by professional recklessness.
In an effort to extradite Edward Snowden back to the United States, U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder assured Russia that the U.S. would try him in a civilian court, and would not seek the death penalty against him. Russian President's Vladimir Putin 's spokesman again ruled out hopes for Holder to get Snowden extradited.
The Regional Task Force surrounded an Imperial Beach California house on Thursday where an attempted murder suspect was hiding. The task forces surrounded the home of 34-year-old Ramiro Espinoza, billed as one of San Diego Sheriff's Department's most wanted man. He barricaded himself and then began a standoff with police.
