Jodi Arias and her attorneys are returning to court on Tuesday in an effort to throw out the jury's finding that made her eligible for the death penalty. Arias was convicted of first-degree murder on May 8 in the stabbing and shooting death of Travis Alexander in Mesa Arizona. About two week ago, the jury that found her guilty of killing Alexander failed to reach a unanimous decision on whether to sentence Arias to life in prison or receive the death penalty.

The Apple company says it will investigate claims that 23-year-old Chinese woman Ma Ailun, a fomer flight attendant, had been electrocuted when she tried to answer a call on her iPhone, which killed her. The phone was plugged into a wall and had been charging.

Asiana Airlines, embroiled in an ongoing investigation regarding one of its 777 airplanes which crash landed on July 6 resulting in three Chinese teenagers being killed, has said it planned to sue the U.S. television station KTVU for reporting racially offensive fake names for their pilots. In addition to the three dead teenagers, over 180 were injured as a result of the crash.
