The US government has obliged the Japanese company Olympus to pay $646 million. This is in relation to the cases filed against the company which was guilty of committing corrupt practices.

South Dakota Republican Governor Dennis Daugaard has vetoed the bill that requires transgender students to use the restrooms in public schools according to their gender at birth. South Dakota would have been the first U.S. State to have such law.

Hundreds of children were found to be sexually abused by Roman catholic priests over four decades as reported by the state grand jury. The report also revealed that bishops themselves were the one who covered up these incidents.
