Prime Minister David Cameron has accused Boris Johnson of 'literally making it up' after the latter has brought up things pertaining to a possible trade with Canada.

According to Politico, David Cameron blasts out Boris Johnson for making up arguments for Brexit as he goes along. The U.K. Prime minister is looking to the London Mayor's remarks last week wherein Johnson said that Britain could seek free trade deals with Canada if the country were to leave the EU.

In a bold statement, Cameron detailed that "Today, the leaders of the 'Leave' campaign are saying they don't really want a Canada deal at all, that they weren't right about that. They are literally making it up as they go along." Though, he didn't specifically stated that Johnson is the culprit, there's still a hypothesis due to the speech that the mayor delivered last week.

Furthermore, Johnson was also attacked by Labour grandee Peter Madelson as reported by The Guardian. Knowing that Johnson is now a high profile politician campaigning for Brexit, he said that "doesn't really think Boris knows what he's talking about." Chukka Umunna followed this with an accusation that Johnson is putting himself at the heart of discussion, making him selfish. The two got a heated exchange with Johnson retaliating with "rubbish" after Umunna said that Johnson is the one talking down the country.

Nonetheless, Johnson didn't stay mum regarding this matter as he talked in his regular LBC radio show. According to Daily Mail, he referred to David Cameron's EU referendum campaign as the millennium bug-style scare story. He also dismissed that quitting the EU would cause loss of jobs and businesses. He said "The thing that matters to me is getting the arguments out in front of the British people." He pertained that the Prime Minister is only using Project Fear to stay in the EU.

Boris Johnson previously criticized the suggestions being given by U.S. President Barack Obama as there are efforts to back David Cameron's campaign. President Barack Obama will visit Britain in the spring. Due to this, the US has released a statement saying that U.K. is an important member of alliance and if anything undermines the effectiveness, there is an impact on them.
