Several departments of the Obama administration remains divided over Apple's encryption issue. Apple fueled a national debate over digital privacy rights and national security when it said that the company no longer wants to serve as the middleman between its customer's phone and the government.

Verizon Wireless has agreed to settle with Federal Communications Commission over their privacy violation on the use of supercookies. The telecommunications giant will pay a fine of $1.35 million and must agree to a consent decree before sharing the supercookies.

The former editor of Sun Newspaper, David Dinsmore printed a pixelated photo of the 15 year old girl taken from her social media and published to newspaper. Dinmore is founsd guilty of violating the Sexual Offences (Amendment) Act 1992.
