On Friday, three members of a Russian punk rock band called Pussy Riots were sentence to two years of prison for protesting against Russia’s president Vladimir Putin in Cathedral last February. Judge Marina Syrova said that the band members had "crudely undermined social order," and thus convicted under hooligan charges.
Judge William Sylvester granted a request for more time by prosecutors in the case of alleged Colorado James Egan Holmes. The court hearing of the 24-year-old, who allegedly opened fire during a midnight screening of the Dark Knight Rises at an Aurora movie theater, was scheduled for this week, however it has been postponed to August 23.
