Prosecutor David Perry described the Hong Kong High Court yesterday the purported elaborate scheme that billionaire brothers Thomas and Raymond Kwok has employed to ensure the illicit payments made to former senior government official Rafael Hui, who was still connected with the city government at the time of the payments, Bloomberg reported.
According to the head of the biggest gambling company in Macau, the city government has issued an order to pawnshops and jewelry stores operating in casino premises to discontinue payments using UnionPay cards by July 1.
