After the huge success of the "X-Men: Days of Future Past," fans are already excited to see the next installment of the movie series.
Executive producer Simon Kinberg, in a report by KDramaStars, claimed that "X-Men: Apocalypse" will be the best in the movies series and they will do it by bringing into the film some of the favorite characters of fans.
According to the site, one of these characters will possibly be Psylocke. The producer himself hopes that they will be able to transcend the character from the comics into the big screen.
"She's (Psylocke) a fan favourite, and also a favourite of mine. We have a small part that she plays in 'Last Stand', and we talked about including her in 'DOFP' quite seriously actually," revealed Kinberg, adding, "She has a cool power. I know Bryan thinks she's a neat character so there's certainly a chance she'll be in an 'X-Men' movie some day."
Meanwhile, Air Herald reported that "X-Men: Apocalypse" will be set sometime in the 1980s, directly after the setting of the previous film. Because of the time reset done by the characters during the "X-Men: Days of Future Past," Kinberg said that there are endless possibilities for the upcoming movie.
The site reported that younger versions of Jean Grey, Storm, and Cyclops will possibly be appearing in the movie, instead of the older ones. However, no information of who will be playing the characters has been revealed.
Air Herald also revealed the main villain of the movie: Apocalypse. Based on the comics, Apocalypse is one of the most powerful villains in the X-Men universe and his goal is world domination. The site added that Apocalypse will be awakened because of the alteration of the events in the past.
A report by Enstarz also revealed that one of the favourite characters of the movie series may be bidding goodbye in "X-Men: Apocalypse." According to the site, Wolverine may be reinvented as Weapon X if the comics will be followed. This was also hinted during the end of "X-Men: Days of Future Past" when Wolverine was captured by Mystique, disguise as William Stryker. With the past changed, reinvention will be highly possible.
However, this may not mean the end of Jackman's appearance in the movie franchise as he has recently talked about his plans of doing back-to-back shooting for both "X-Men: Apocalypse" and the third sequel of "Wolverine."
"X-Men: Apocalypse" is scheduled to hit the big screen this May 2016.
