Fans of the heroes of the Middle Earth is in for a treat as some unreleased footages from "Lord of the Rings" trilogy might possibly be used for the "Hobbit 3: Battle of the Five Armies."
According to Epoch Times, director Peter Jackson revealed this possibility.
"There are a few scenes that haven't been seen from Lord Of The Rings, but not many. We might try to put them back in. It's a big logistical thing which hasn't wrapped our heads around," said Jackson.
Meanwhile, a report by International Business Times said that actor Orlando Bloom has recently confirmed that one of the focuses of the movie is the father-and-son relationship of his character Legolas and his father Thranduil.
According to the site, Bloom said that "Hobbit 3" will feature the rivalry between the two characters. This is because of the beliefs of King Thranduil that are against the principles of the Elves.
In the past movies, it can be noted that Elves are known for not taking any interest in the world of men. Despite their excellent fighting skills, they have not helped the dwarves in their fight to reclaim their homeland. Thranduil is against such actions and this sparked the conflict between him and his son Legolas.
Aside from the story of Thranduil and Legolas, another character to watch out for is Thorin, the leader of the dwarves. After successfully driving the dragon Smaug out of the Lonely Mountain in "Hobbit 2", the dwarves are expected to start rebuilding their homeland and protect their treasure from raiders in the next sequel.
"Hobbit 3" will tell the fate of Thorin whose grandfather got greedy with the treasure. His greed for the gold turned into sickness which left him vulnerable when Smaug attacked. Will the same fate happen to Thorin? Will he and his friends be able to protect the treasure and their homeland?
Catch the answers on "Hobbit 3: The Battle of Five Armies." The movie is scheduled to hit theaters in December.
