With the global premiere of "The Hobbit: The Battle of Five Armies" drawing closer, New Line Cinema released an official synopsis of the third installment of the "The Hobbit" series, which will finally mark the end of the trilogy.

In the quest of the entire band of Draves to reclaim Erebor, their hometown, from the dominion of Smaug the dragon, Thorin will grow an obsession over the treasures of the Lonely Mountain in which he will refuse to share. Attempting to make Thorin see reason, Bilbo Baggins will resort to desperate and perilous measures.

Nearly killed when the Dwarves attacked in previous installment "Desolation of Smaug," an enraged Smaug will avenge himself and unleash his wrath over the entire Lake-town.

Confronting the danger that Smaug poses, the Dwarves will face an even greater threat as Sauron releases legions of Orcs to attack them at the Lonely Mountain.

"The Battle of Five Armies" will definitely showcase a wide array of fighting scenes as a raging war among citizens of the Middle Earth persists. Dwarves, Elves, Hobbits, and other creatures will be left with a crucial decision whether they will continue jeopardizing their lives by fighting among each other or stand together to defend one another against the looming danger of Sauron's fury.

"The Hobbit: Battle of Five Armies" producer Peter Jackson has already announced that the teaser of Tolkien's third and final installment of "The Hobbit" series is ready for release and will soon be available. He also confirmed that fans will be to see the full trailer by October.

"Battle of Five Armies" is set for release in December this year-December 26th in Australia, December 12th in United Kingdom, December 11th in New Zealand, and December 17th in United States. Fans of the Middle Earth, it's time to brace yourselves as the epic conclusion awaits.
