"Avengers 2" Spoilers: Death of Thor, Captain America, Hulk, and Black Widow

A teaser of "Avengers 2: Age of Ultron" during the Comic Con 2014 in San Diego has revealed major hints on the upcoming film.

According to Fashion & Style, the footage dropped hints that several characters may die in this sequel. This includes Thor, Captain America, Hulk, and Black Widow.

The teaser shows major battles between the Avengers and Ultron and his drones. The site added that multiple descriptions of the video suggest that Bruce Banner looks terrified at the chaos happening near the Avengers Tower.

All the Avengers also appear to be lying down and dead in the rubble caused by an explosion. Iron Man is shown viewing all of it, looking guilty because he created Ultron in the beginning.

One of the shocking scenes in the film include Captain America's vibranium shield seen to be shattered into pieces. This brought up speculations that Thanos and the Infinity Gauntlet may be appearing in the movie. This idea is not without merit, according to Inquisitr, as previous movies had mentioned about the Infinity Gems or Soul Gems.

Accordingly, these gems are items of immense power, the remnants of one of the earliest beings from the time of the universe's creation. In the comics, there are six of them: the Soul Gem, Power Gem, Time Gem, Reality Gem, Space Gem, and Mind Gem. They are all slotted into the Infinity Gauntlet, a glove-like artifact with settings for each Gem. When brought together, the Gems and the Gauntlet give the wearer near-limitless power, just like shattering the shield of Captain America.

However, this was debunked by Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige in an interview during the Comic Con 2014. He said that Thanos is not part of "Avengers 2," but cautiously added, "by the way, we're still making 'Avengers 2,' so nothing's definitive one way or another actually."

Meanwhile, a spoiler from MoviePilot spilled that the teaser could just be a premonition.

"My theory is this could be a premonition. I mean if it is all true then what about 'Captain America 3,' 'Thor 3,' and 'The Avengers 3.' I think Tony will see the error of his invention and will try to stop it from happening. Either way this film is shaping up to be VERY promising, and possibly the best Marvel film," Shaun Masters of MoviePilot revealed.

"Avengers 2: Age of Ultron" is scheduled to hit theaters on May 1, 2015.
