Good news for the fans of the robots-in-disguise as new reports leaked a few hints on the release of the next sequel, "Transformers 5."
New spoilers suggest that Optimus Prime and the other Autobots will still be battling on Earth and not in outer space.
In an interview with Screenrush, producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura shared some sneak peeks on what the fifth installment may look like. According to him, the setting will still be similar with the other "Transformers" movies.
"You know, Michael (Bay) has found a really great blend of real humor, integrating a lot of human characters with a lot of different kinds of Transformers. I think in that respect, it will be very similar," said di Bonaventura.
The producer also revealed in the same interview that Unicron may not make an appearance in the next movie, although it was rumored that he will be the main villain for "Transformers 5" based on where the fourth sequel left off. Unicron is the ultimate planet transformer in the comics that can devour other planets once he transforms.
"I mean, anything's possible. Me personally, I don't think Unicron is interesting at all. Because the scale of it becomes so difficult to be dramatic. I mean, 'Fantastic Four' has their version...," di Bonaventura shared.
He later on added, "And it was boring. It's like a giant object. It doesn't have personality in a way - its scale overwhelms things. So, for me, I don't know. Michael is the kind of guy who can probably figure it out. I can't figure it out."
In another interview with site Screenrant, the producer shunned rumors that the movie will be release by 2016. According to him, the rumors are inaccurate considering that the scale of making the movie is enormous.
"It's an exhausting process to make these movies. The scale of them is so enormous. It really does tax everybody and our tendency is to finish one at a time, recover, and then begin talking. And we'll do the same thing this time."
Meanwhile, other rumors are claiming that the production team are eyeing for a 2017 release.
