Judge scolds Alec Baldwin over short fuse in court over bike-riding arrest

Alec Baldwin is known in Hollywood, paparazzi circles, and even to his daughter Ireland as a man with a temper. However, it appears that it would take a court judge to tame the feisty "30 Rock" star's temperament when he appeared in a Manhattan criminal court on Thursday with regard to his bike-riding arrest back in May. According to the Hollywood Reporter, Manhattan Criminal Court Judge John DeLury scolded Baldwin about his troubles with the law, which prompted the actor to promise to stay out of trouble.

While looking at the allegations hurled against the award-winning actor, Delury said to Baldwin, "Looks like you have a short fuse. Can you stay out of trouble, Alexander?"

Baldwin replied, "Sure, sure."

Baldwin was charged with disorderly conduct when the actor purportedly went ballistic with responding police officers who had stopped the actor in his bicycle. Police had told Baldwin that he was going the wrong way, which elicited unsavory banter from the thespian.

New York Police Department detective Marc Nell told THR, "He got a little belligerent with the officers, so they took him into custody to identify him. He was identified and given two summonses, and he is now on his merry way."

Although the actor received accolades and awards for playing the amiable Jack Donaghy in the now-defunct "30 Rock," Baldwin has build himself a reputation for being a hothead. Baldwin's marriage to actress Kim Basinger resulted into a nasty divorce battle. In 2007, Baldwin's voice was heard in a published voicemail berating his daughter Ireland, calling her names for not immediately responding to his arranged call. In 2011, Baldwin was kicked off from a plane for his refusal to stop tinkering with his phone. Paparazzi photographers are reportedly taking of the actor at a distance to avoid running into him and his temper, THR said. Recently, his MSNBC show was cancelled shortly after uttering an anti-LGBT slur during an encounter last fall.
