The most-awaited moment of K-pop fans is now within their reach, as YG Entertainment finished off "Winner Week" with an exciting announcement about the debut of the all-male band WINNER.

You definitely heard it right. WINNER is finally set for its biggest break on August 1, 2014. The group is the first up and coming Korean male band to debut from the family of YG Entertainment since their label siblings Big Bang entered the music industry in the year 2016.

Despite all performing groups have their unique stories to tell about their pre-debut times, the five budding performers of WINNER, which include Song Minho, Kang Seung-yoon, Nam Taehyun, and Lee Seunghoon, have a distinctive selling point as their ups and downs individually and as a group was captured and displayed in public.

The individual members made their first television exposure in the reality show "Who is Next: Win in 2013." They competed with fellow trainees on the show until the production came up with the final members of the group. WINNER waited for more than nine months to finally debut as a budding pop group. Viewers, especially avid followers, literally waited for the nativity of the k-pop artists after YG's nine months of pregnancy.

Albeit there are delays, WINNER has consistently kept up with the pace as they managed to maintain their presence in the Korean entertainment scene all through the first half of the current year.

The currently sought-after members of WINNER were given the chance to perform during the Japan tour of their fellow all-male band Big Bang in the previous year. They also had the opportunity to co-star with "Big Bang's" Taeyang in his music video for Ringa Linga.

To further maintain their Korea-wide presence, YG Entertainment produced a reality show subbed as "WINNER TV," heightened the excitement and eagerness of the group's fans as they incessantly run to social media to express their anticipation for the upcoming debut.

Although no confirmation was made by YG Entertainment forefront and founder Yang Hyun Suk as to the route the group is going to take in terms of booking for appearances in variety shows, WINNER has been evident in a myriad of endorsements and promotions, including their modeling stint with iconic sports brand Adidas.
