A New Jersey man was arrested last month after authorities discovered over 1,000 images of child pornography on his cell phones.
The Cape May County Prosecutors office announced charges of possession and distribution of child sexual abuse material against Anthony Gilbert, 24, from the Whitesboro area of Middle Township.
The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children received a tip that someone had downloaded and shared illicit materials, and that led authorities to Gilbert, according to NJ.com.
Gilbert was taken into custody on August 30 and transported to the Cape May County jail.
