A Colorado man turned a game of make-believe into a nightmare for two little girls, and now he'll spend the rest of his life paying for it.
James Pinker was convicted in June of four counts of sexual assault on a child with a pattern of abuse and sentenced in August to 112 years in prison.
Pinker's crimes were brought to the Weld County Sheriff's Office in December 2021 following reports he had abused two five-year-old girls, said the 19th Judicial District Attorney's Office.
Both girls allegedly told law enforcement they had been playing a game together called "Monsters" when Pinker came over and made them play the "kissing game," according to KKTV.
When the girls were asked to describe what that was, they described Pinker making them undress and touching them inappropriately.
Another teenage victim came forward during his sentencing to reveal that Pinker had also sexually assaulted her as a young child.
"The defendant's actions were not only heinous, but he shattered the innocence and lives of several young children," said Deputy District Attorney Timothy McCormack Monday.
"This sentence reflects the gravity of his crimes and the justice deserved for his victims. Protecting children in our community is at the core of our priorities, and while no punishment can undo the harm he caused, the court's decision ensures that he will never have the chance to harm another child again."
