Recent "Jurassic World 2" news teases the new faces that are coming to the series, along with some familiar returning characters that fans might recognize. When "Jurassic World" busted into the movie scene back in 2015, fans are presented with a fresh new take on the "Jurassic Park" franchise.

The sequel, "Jurassic World 2", hopes to follow-up on that with new ideas. Only this time around, the sequel will feature a blast from the past, and it's not just from the dinosaurs.

According to CinemaBlend, actor BD Wong is confirmed to make an appearance on the "Jurassic World" sequel. This is good "Jurassic World 2" news for fans who stuck around with the series since "Jurassic Park."

The 56-year-old actor will reprise his role as Dr. Henry Wu, a character who first appeared on the series in the first film way back in 1993. Fast forward 24 years later, and Dr. Wu is back in "Jurassic World 2."

However, the source mentioned that BD Wong's character actually died in the "Jurassic Park" novel. This makes Dr. Wu's appearance on "Jurassic World 2" as intriguing as it is surprising.

At this moment, there's no telling as to how Dr. Wu will be inserted into the sequel's plot. Regardless, this mystery element makes the plot of "Jurassic World 2" all the more exciting and gives fans something to look forward to.

In other "Jurassic World 2" news, there also going to be another addition in the sequel's cast of characters. This time around, it's going to be in the form of a new character instead of a recurring one.

According to GameSpot, "The Green Mile" and "I, Robot" star James Cromwell will be joining the "Jurassic World 2" cast. There's now word, however, on whether Cromwell will be playing the film's antagonist or if he will be among the good guys.
