Newest Disney movies news reveals the real reason why Will Smith refused to take part in the live-action "Dumbo" film and his supposed role in it. Disney is looking to recreate the classic "Dumbo" film in real life.
The "Dumbo" cast includes director Tim Burton and writer Ehren Kruger. Although Disney is negotiating with Tom Hanks to play some sort of villain in the film, he hasn't been confirmed to appear yet.
One actor is certainly not appearing in the live-action rendition of "Dumbo" and that actor is none other than Will Smith. According to CinemaBlend, Smith had his legitimate reasons in declining his spot in the film.
One of those reasons is Smith's busy schedule which includes filming his other commitments such as starring in "Bad Boys for Life." The second reason Smith won't be starring in one of the newest Disney movies is budget issues.
It seems that the "Suicide Squad" star had significantly bumped up his asking price since his time in "Fresh Prince of Bel-Air." If Smith was to star in "Dumbo", he would have played as the father of the children who'll become friends with the flying elephant.
In other newest Disney movies news, the next animated princess movie will revisit a budding series. According to Inquisitr, the only animated princess film that Disney has up their sleeve is the sequel to "Frozen."
The last animated princess flick was 2016's "Moana" and 2013's "Frozen" came before that. Now, the only "Disney Princess" movie that's on Disney's coming-soon line-up is "Frozen 2." Other than the announcement of the sequel, there isn't much information on the next "Frozen" other than the fact that it's release date is not yet announced.
Regardless, Disney has their hands full in prioritizing the live-action adaptations of their classic animations. These newest Disney movies include the upcoming "Dumbo" film and the live-action rendition of "Beauty and the Beast" which releases on March 17, 2017.
