Nintendo Switch News: UI Close-Up Found in Deleted Tweet

By

There are some things that many of us are not meant to see yet. Some people call these sneak peeks while others may have a more serious term to call it leak. Whenever one of these is seen, whether it is intentional or not, it may be great for a lot of the fans but could potentially be harmful to the marketing for those trying to sell the product. This happened to be the case for Nintendo Switch, and one particular Tweet was suddenly deleted when it revealed what the brand new console's user interface might look like.

This recent development may not exactly be the best type of thing to surface the internet for everyone to see. According to Polygon, Nicolas, a very popular indie game developer responsible for games such as The Binding of Isaac, had released a twitter post that showed what the Nintendo Switch's user interface (UI) might look like. Despite it being deleted quickly after it was posted, some people were able to snag and save a picture of what the user interface looked like, which looks to be what the console's mid-game menu will look like. While it was meant to be a teaser for something else, perhaps it is correct to say in this instance that a picture is worth a thousand words.

Shacknews.com states that the purpose of the shot may have been to show the possible games that might appear on the Nintendo Switch. These games, mind you, are considered indie games, meaning that Nintendo may be branching out and reaching to third parties to help support the release of the Switch. Along with The Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth Plus, we have Cave Story and 1001 Spikes. Perhaps one of the most important things to take note of in the picture is the fact that there is a "change user" option, meaning that users may have the ability to swap profiles while playing a game. Though many fans have been eating up pieces of information for the Switch, perhaps it is best for Nintendo's interests to strategically reveal more about the console as time goes by, as they have done so recently in their recent reveal of its capabilities.
