Nintendo, the world-renowned juggernaut in all of gaming history, has made quite a mark for itself over the years. The company and its developers have made great strides in entertaining their consumers. What first started out as a playing card company has evolved into something that not even Nintendo had expected, and still it breeds a reputation for itself that has some inspired and others looking for other companies. Still, with greatness comes responsibility, and Nintendo has had a long track record of trusting in its own franchises to sell its product with little help from third parties.
Some fans of 2k Games will be disheartened to know that Nintendo Switch will not be having "Borderlands 3" as one of its titles. For those of you who are new or not fans of the Borderlands franchise, the game centers around being a first-person shooter with having some pretty interesting humor and loose RPG elements. For some people, it is no surprise that "Borderlands 3" will not be showing up on the Nintendo Switch, and this can be because of quite a few reasons. While Gamespot insures that there will be a next installment of the Borderlands franchise, they also state that it will not be on Nintendo's newest console.
Ubergizmo comments that while the company has been talking to Nintendo, it all stated that things fell apart when talking with Nintendo. Gearbox's Randy Pitchford stated on Twitter that he did not see this happening and that while communicating with them they stated that Nintendo must have other priorities to attend to. While this may seem to be a downer to many fans of the franchise, there is some light in knowing that eventually there will be a new installment of the Borderlands franchise, just not on the Nintendo Switch. No one knows if this is good news for Nintendo on their part, but we can see that Nintendo might be doing the same with their line up as they did with their other consoles: sticking to their franchises.
