‘PS4’ Latest News & Updates: Sony game console sets for big updates, registration for beta testing starts

In today's world, things are constantly changing. Science, technology, methods of educating, whatever you happen to name, there is no denying that a lot of things in our every day lives requires change. In most cases, if things around us don't change, then they stop being of use to us. Technology is a constant thing that changes, just like the seasons. Some changes are bad, and some are the amalgamation of the labor of our humanity's top minds. It should not be a surprise that gaming receives the same treatment in change as our other pieces of technology, and Sony will be doing just that in their next big update.

For those of you in the know with Sony, you'll know that Playstation.com announced that they would be releasing a big update for PS4 owners the world over. In this update, they generally have things that most of us would look over such as a UI refresh, a revised Quick Menu and much more that have not been announced yet. One of the biggest things they did announce, however, is that Sony's new update for the PS4 allows for people to sign up in what is known as beta testing, which allows for people to get access to the new update before anyone else in an attempt to gauge their demographic's reaction.

Gamespot states that you can register to be a beta tester anytime between now and February, as the beta will start early February. Being a beta tester lets you get access to certain things before it is released to the public. Companies have been doing this for a few years already, and it allows the player to see what's in store for them in the future before anyone else. For many, this would be interesting for the sole purpose of bragging rights to their friends alone, but for many others, there is a certain genuine sincerity in wanting to know what they will be expecting in a game or program in the coming months or years. Not everyone can be a beta tester as it will spoil the surprise, but becoming one does indeed present quite an opportunity for many.
