Gears of War 4 has set a new standard for itself, even rumored on starting something new compared to the past three titles. The story of the game was considerably questioned, but so far, more recent information was divulged for the game, clearing out the speculations once and for all.

According to Christian Today, Gears of War 4 has shown rather little regarding its entirety, most of which was the uncertainty of who will be the lead character of the game. Finally, the lucky name was revealed and the said character is no stranger to the franchise at all.

As per Shack News, a recent trailer for Gears of War 4 was released to the public, giving away the origins of who the protagonist will be, namely JD Fenix. To those that may not know, JD is the son of Gears of War's acclaimed hero, Marcus Fenix. It was also reported that all of the said characters will also be featured on the game's cover.

Game Spot delivered that Gears of War 4 released new footage showing the potential Dropshot features, which descriptions was quoted, "The Dropshot fires an aerial mine that floats over the battlefield in a straight line as long as you hold the trigger. The moment you let go, the mine spins downward violently. If it hits the ground, it drills for a second before exploding, blowing anything nearby into chunks. If you manage to nail a direct hit on the enemy, it drills directly into their head, decapitating them while their body convulses until the mine explodes."

Gears of War 4 will have its beta set in a few days, specifically, April 18th for the people who managed to play Gears of War: Ultimate Edition, whereas Xbox Live Gold members will be able to get in on it by April 25th. Originally, the title is set to release on October 11th for the Xbox One, and a PC version is rumored to come forth.
