Overwatch to be E-Sports Worthy with Admired Competitive Play Mode

By

Overwatch's beta has seemingly showed the fans how things will work for the said title soon enough. After being witnessed and experienced first-hand by some gamers, Overwatch may be looking for the bigger picture in which many believe to be a well-deserved stage for the title; the e-Sports leagues.

As per Tech Times, not very much was known about Overwatch except for the fact that it is indeed Blizzard Entertainment's successful attempt at a first-person shooter filled with a massive array of diverse characters. After being confirmed of having the Competitive Play mode which offers rewards and progression perks, some fans are thinking that the title should move at a more global scale.

According to Gaming Bolt, since Overwatch was bestowed upon a good thing in the form of Competitive Play; no level cap and continuous ranking for the fans, the excitement just picks up as some believe that Overwatch has amazing potential. Being featured or even becoming an official e-Sports title, Blizzard Entertainment's Overwatch may be the next big thing for grand stages as with other Blizzard Entertainment titles. It was worth noting that the gameplay has already been admired by many, despite Blizzard Entertainment being known more prominently for making massive multiplayer online role-playing games.

As it was spoken of, Arstechnica delivered that Overwatch is not the first attempt at a first-person shooter that Blizzard Entertainment came up with. A shelved project called Titan was said to have been the closest to call as far as a first-person shooter is concerned, and Blizzard Entertainment was speculated to have learned from the flaws made in the past. In other news, it was interestingly noted that Blizzard Entertainment plans to have some in-game purchases for Overwatch, identical to that of Hearthstone.

Overwatch will release its open beta on May 3rd. No release date was revealed yet for the title, but is expected to officially release within the year. Keep posted for more updates on Overwatch.
