The Marvel Cinematic Universe is set to bring in the friendly web-slinging hero Spider-Man into the elaborate mix in Captain America: Civil War. However, a recent statement from Marvel President Kevin Feige confirmed that other heroes will also join him on his adventures in the upcoming Spider-Man movie.
Tom Holland's appearance in the Captain America: Civil War trailer marked his debut in the MCU as the young Peter Parker aka Spider-Man. But according to Marvel's Kevin Feige, he will meet more heroes in his upcoming solo outing. "[Spider-Man] is in the universe now, and the fun of the universe is that characters go back and forth," Feige said as reported by Yahoo.
It is currently unknown which heroes will make an appearance in the film but another alleged evidence regarding the film has been revealed. According to Collider, Sony registered the domain name SpiderManHomecomingTheMovie.com which caused rumors that the film could in fact be entitled 'Spider-Man: Homecoming'.
The new domain name could also mean that Spidey's solo outing could be based on its comic book storyline that featured Captain America and Iron Man. However, it is also reportedly unlikely as Marvel rarely adapted the comics storylines into the films.
It is also believed that Steve Rogers and Tony Stark's next appearances are most likely to happen in the upcoming Spider-Man reboot. Moreover, aside from Steve and Tony, Movie Web reported that Doctor Strange and Daredevil are also heavily linked to make a cameo. But until official news about the plot details are revealed, plot rumors must be treated with a grain of salt.
Aside from Holland, Marisa Tomei is also on board as Aunt May along with Zendaya for a currently unconfirmed role. The upcoming Spider-Man reboot is set to be directed by Jon Watts from screenplay by John Francis Daley and Jonathan M. Stein. It is set to hit theaters on July 07, 2017.
