Wolverine 3: Newest villain; Hugh Jackman admits reading Old Man Logan comics

Hugh Jackman is reprising his role as the mighty clawed mutant in the upcoming Wolverine 3. Boyd Holbrook was recently casted as the chief villain in the upcoming film, while plot speculations suggest that the film could be aiming for a Rated R.

Holbrook has officially jumped on board the upcoming film as the chief of security for a global corporation that will go against Jackman's Logan/Wolverine. According to IGN, Holbrook will star alongside Jackman and Patrick Stewart who will also reprise his role as Professor X.

Filming is set to begin this May in New Orleans and New Mexico. Plot details are still unknown as Jackman has kept mum on subjects relating to the film's stoy, but he is rumored to go all out for the film which will also serve as his last offering as the iconic mutant.

According to International Business Times, the film is rumored to go for an R Rating like The Wolverine. It is also plausible following the box office success of Deadpool which became the highest grossing Rated R X-Men movie.

Plot speculations suggest that the upcoming Wolverine 3 could be based on the story of "Old Man Logan", but such rumor has not been confirmed nor denied by anybody from the production. However, as reported by Comic Book, Jackman previously confirmed that he has read the "Old Man Logan" comics.

"I've read that one yeah, of course, I've read pretty much all of them over the years. But I have read that, yeah, but I cannot confirm or deny. It would be no fun if you knew what it was all about." Jackman said. Old Man Logan storyline centers on Logan who returns to his identity as Wolverine after the enemies of the Marvel Universe killed its heroes.

James Mangold is set to return to the director's chair for the anticipated Wolverine 3. It is based on screenplay by Michael Green and David James Kelly. The film is currently slated to hit theaters on March 03, 2017.
