‘Outlander’ Season 2 Spoilers: Can Frasers change the history in Paris? Will Claire return to 20th century?

'Outlander' season 2 has a lot of exciting scenes to offer starting this Saturday at 9pm on Starz. Claire and Jamie, who have been greatly hurt by past events, will try to move on. As they stay in Paris, the Frasers have a mission of preventing the impeding rebellion that will ultimately destroy Highlander culture. Meanwhile, the reappearance of Frank Randall this season speculates Claire's possible return to 20th century.

After over a year of recovering from the torturous events last season, viewers will now be delighted to see a new chapter that includes incredibly beautiful fussy clothes. Jamie and Claire are now in the fashion capital, Paris, as seen during the season 1 finale.

According to Entertainment Weekly, aside from moving on from the past, Jamie and pregnant Claire have a mission. They will try to prevent the 1746 Battle of Culloden, which Claire knows that have disastrous consequences for the Scottish Highlands. The story is based on the second book in Diana Gabaldon's 'Outlander' series, "Dragonfly in Amber."

But fans knew that some storylines in the show differ from the best-selling book series. Thus, many are now speculating some changes in season 2. THE WALL STREET JOURNAL has also questioned if Claire will go back to his husband from 20th century. Recently, 'Outlander' season 2 trailer dishes the reappearance of Frank Randall and teases some shots of Claire in modern dress. But the publication also notes that this could just be Claire's memory flashbacks, which also occurred during the 1st season.

While those are yet to be known, viewers can expect Claire's struggle in season 2, especially dealing with aristocrats. She knew that it's a challenge for her since French court is a place of unlikely people. As per executive producer Ronald D. Moore said in an interview with the New York Post, "She's had to penetrate a very different world, dealing with aristocrats. It's a nest of vipers and a bit of a challenge for Claire, who is used to speaking her mind. She has a limited knowledge of history. She knows the general outlines, but a lot of it is her figuring things out on the sly."

Will Claire and Jamie be successful in their mission? Will Claire return to 20th century? Share us your expectations for the upcoming 1st episode of 'Outlander' season 2.
