'Outlander' Season 2 Spoilers: Jamie heals soul in Paris; Claire reunites with Frank

By

Jamie and Claire will be leaving Scotland for Paris in "Outlander" Season 2 not only to escape the horrors that Jamie suffered in the hands of Black Jack Randall but to change history as well. Claire has faced many trials in her multi-phased life but none of them compared to the challenge of bringing back the pieces of her husband's body and soul following his rape and torture by Black Jack. Viewers have been reeling from the gut-wrenching scene since last season's finale although it has been building up all season.

Sam Heughan, who plays Jamie, revealed at the Television Critics Association winter press tour that Jamie is definitely still affected by the trauma but his situation will not be the primary focus of "Outlander" Season 2. Heughan said that Jamie will be healed through time and will ultimately put his whole body and soul into his mission of changing history reports TV.Com.

He further revealed that a great revelation which he cannot say just yet, will cure him and will bring the old Jamie back. Christian Today reports that Jamie and Claire's mission to stop the Jacobite rebellion will also bring out another side of Jamie that even Heughan didn't expect. He said that he admires Jamie's humor, buoyancy and natural ability to keep going despite of being beaten down.

Meanwhile, EP Ron Moore says that "Outlander" Season 2 will feel like a different show. He says, "It's Paris; it's aristocracy; it's the court of Louis XV; it's in the City of Light with a lot of lies. It's a completely different look and feel, visually and in tone, than the first season was. So we're really kind of prepping a new show and shooting a whole new television series in a lot of ways."

A major spoiler in "Outlander" Season 2 that has recently come out is Claire's reunion with her 1948 husband, Frank Randall. However, it will prove to be hard for her since every time she sees Frank, she can't help but see Black Jack reports The Bitbag. Caitriona Balfe (Claire) said. "There are many layers of why that relationship is difficult when she goes back. She's definitely not the same woman that left."

Fans have labeled the long wait for "Outlander" Season 2 as Droughtlander and they have been relishing whatever rumor or update they can get. So far, there has been no word from Starz when the season premiere will be although it is speculated to be on April 2016.
