Stanley Weber and "Being Human" actor Andrew Gower officially join cast of "Outlander" Season 2 where Weber will play as this season's villain and Gower as Prince Charles Edward Stuart. Also, Stars has released the official plot description of the premiere episode.
Stanley Weber officially joins the cast of "Outlander" Season 2. The 29-year-old French actor and theatre director will play the character of Comte St. Germain who will serve as the current season's antagonist. Comte happens to be a French nobleman who seeks vengeance against Claire after she costs him a shipload of goods and will be involved with disturbing activities. Stanley Weber's villainous character will be introduced in the premiere episode of the show, Enstarz reports.
In addition, "Being Human" alum Andrew Gower also joins the cast of the Starz series.The 26-year-old English actor will portray the role of Prince Charles Edward Stuart, a Jacobite scammer who is also called as Bonnie Prince Charlie. Andrew Gower's character will debut in 1st episode of the upcoming installment, Digital Spy has cited.
As for the official plot of episode 1, Den of Geek notes, "Claire and Jamie arrive in France, infiltrating the Jacobite rebellion led by Prince Charles Stuart and stopping the battle of Culloden. With the help of his cousin Jared, Jamie and Claire are thrown into the French society, where political gain are less fruitful. Altering the course of history presents challenges that begin to weigh on their relationship. Claire and Jamie must race to prevent a Highland uprising and the extinction of Scottish life."
"Outlander" Season 2 is scheduled to premiere on Saturday, April 9, 2016 at 9:00 p.m. on Starz Network and will be released in the UK after it airs in the US.
