Samuel L. Jackson said his return is likely for the upcoming The Incredibles 2 and while the adventures of the Parr family are still a couple of years away, various speculations have already been circling around the film.
Details are currently scarce for the sequel especially that it is currently in its early stage. But aside from director Brad Bird who is sitting in the director's chair, actor Samuel L. Jackson also hinted that he may return for the second movie to voice the character Frozone.
According to Ecumenical News, Jackson revealed previously that Bird has assured him that he will return for the sequel each time they come across each other. He also added that he is looking forward to see how the Parrs' youngest member, Jack Jack grew up to be in the film.
Current plot speculations suggest that the sequel will be set six years after the events of the first film, thus Jack Jack will have been six or seven years old. According to Gabvine, the delicate age of the youngster could be used by the Syndrome who was also rumored to return.
Rumor mill suggests that Syndrome would train Jack Jack to handle his powers and in turn, use him against his own family. But since he was assumed to have died in the previous film, the sequel might also discuss the method of his return, or whether he returns as a clone.
Meanwhile, according to Vine Report, the sequel is also rumored to include a new villain who will shake things up in the family. There are murmurings suggesting that the new villain could be Jack Jack's trainer who will turn him to the bad side, instead of Syndrome. Although it is unconfirmed, the new villain as the trainer could be more plausible since the family is unlikely no longer trust Syndrome around their family especially after the events of the first film.
Plot speculations are plenty for the film, but it is important to treat such rumors with a grain of salt until official details are revealed. Michael Giacchino was also confirmed to score The Incredibles 2. It is slated to hit theaters on June 21, 2019.
