Captain America: Civil War Update: Spider-Man to play an interesting role

By

Friendships and relationships will be tested in the upcoming Captain America: Civil War. Joe and Anthony Russo revealed Spider-Man's role in the upcoming clash between the Avengers and possible details in the post-credit teasers.

The latest trailer released for the Marvel flick teased the MCU debut of Black Panther and Spider-Man. While Black Panther's role has been teased previously by the Russo brothers, the directors have recently explained the relevance of the young Spidey in the whole situation. As reported by Polygon, Joe and Anthony Russo stated that they have always wanted to have Tom Holland's Spider-Man in the film.

They also said that he will have a very special in the film that would please fans noting that he is the only character in the movie that does not bring a huge baggage as the other characters in the film which makes the character interesting given the situation in the film. They also hinted that he might go for a costume change eventually in the MCU.

Moreover, as reported by Independent, the directors also revealed that fans should anticipate for the post-credit scenes that will be inserted for the flick, as there could be more than one of them to watch out for.

"We can't say who is going to be in it but we can say that there certainly could be one, or two, maybe three [post-credits scenes]. We can confirm that you should stay sat in your seats when the movie is done.", the directors stated.

Meanwhile, Joe and Anthony Russo have also released a video on their Facebook page where they featured an actor in the series who was supposed to be Chris Evans. However, his review leans more on the fact that he could be "Ant-Man" actor, Paul Rudd.

As reported by Movieweb, the video showed an actor who was wearing a Captain America mask as he lauded the Russos. "Wow! Guys, I mean, what a movie. It is incredible. You've done it again. I just can't believe it. The story's amazing. The characters are compelling. The action is unlike anything I've ever seen. I loved it. I absolutely loved it.", he said.

He could be Captain America except that his features outside the mask states otherwise. The actor also revealed his true identity when he was asked about his favorite part of the film to which he gave a short and definitive answer by saying "Paul Rudd".

Captain America: Civil War opens MCU's phase three, where the Avengers are divided after a political interference is put in their work as the heroes of the world. It is written by Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely, and set to hit theaters on May 06, 2016.
