The lethal and somehow comedic combination of sharks and tornadoes is hitting the screens once again in the upcoming Sharknado 4. Ian Ziering and Tara Reid were confirmed to return for the fourth film, while new characters were also confirmed to make their respective appearances in the movie.

Fin Shepard and April Wexler are set to come back as Ziering and Reid's return are official. According to Comingsoon, Reid's return will unveil the final outcome of the social media campaign of whether #AprilLives or #AprilDies which stemmed on the ending of the third film.

David Hasselhoff is also to reprise his role as Gil Shepard as well as Ryan Newman as Claudia Shepard. The upcoming film is also set to include new characters to the already hilarious mix. According to Yahoo, Syfy added model Cheryl Tiegs to the cast as Raye, "Lethal Weapon" actor Gary Busey as Wilford Wexler, "Everybody Hates Chris" actress Imani Hakim as Gabrielle, "Melissa and Joey" star Cody Linley as Fin and April's son Matt, and "George Lopez" star Masiela as Fin's cousin, Gemini.

According to Screen Rant, production is currently underway for the project. Aside from determining April's fate, Sharknado 4 will also witness the return of the shark tornadoes a couple of years after the incident in the East Coast. "Fin, his family and the cosmos have been blissfully sharknado-free in the intervening years, but now sharks - and 'nados! - are being whipped up in places (and ways) least expected...", the film's description stated.

Anthony C. Ferrante will return to direct Sharknado 4 from a script written by Thunder Levin. The TV-movie's official release date has not been unveiled yet, however, its IMdB page suggests a July 2016 release. More details on the impending attacks of sharks and upcoming cameo roles will be revealed as production continues for the project.
