xXx: The Return of Xander Cage casts Ariadna Gutierrez, Nicky Jam, Tony Gonzalez; Vin Diesel teases set pics on Instagram

Casting for xXx: The Return of Xander Cage is underway with three new additions to its growing roster of members. Vin Diesel is set to return to reprise the titular character and has been sharing photos from the set through social media.

The third film in the franchise has added 3 new members to its cast, one of which is former NFL player Tony Gonzalez who was casted in a currently undisclosed role. According to Variety, he is the addition to the film that will center on Diesel's Xander Cage who goes back in action from self-imposed exile who will set out to stop a lethal weapon called Pandora's box.

According to E! Online, singer Nicky Jam is also on board to set his acting debut in the film. Jam announced the casting through Instagram. "This is a dream come true. Thank you God and thank you to all my people for bringing me here thank you @vindiesel for the opportunity", he wrote.

Moreover, Miss Universe's Miss Colombia has also jumped on board as the latest female addition. According to Yibada, Ariadna Gutierrez joins the cast with Samuel L. Jackson, Tony Jaa, Ruby Rose, Conor McGregor, Ice Buce, Kris Wu, and Nina Dobrev among many others.

Diesel has also been busy sharing about the film on social media, particularly on Instagram. The actor recently shared a photo of him with tattoos, and carrying a skateboard with the letters "xXx". "This Process of making The Return of Xander has been so much fun. All love.", Diesel wrote. The upcoming film is Diesel's second time to star as lead role in the franchise, after the box office success of "xXx" in 2002.

xXx: The Return of Xander Cage is currently filming with some of its previous locations in Dominican Republic and Canada. It is directed by D.J. Carusso, and is expected to hit theaters worldwide in January 20, 2016.
