MCU's heroes are expected to join forces in the upcoming Avengers: infinity War which directors Joe Russo and Anthony Russo revealed to feature numerous Marvel characters. Several speculations on who among Marvel heroes will make it to the big screen.
As reported by Movie Pilot, Joe and Anthony Russo revealed during the Wizard World Comic Con last month that they are dealing with 67 characters for the next movie. The revelation came as a defense from Joe, after Anthony referred to Peggy Carter as Sharon Carter.
"We have so many characters we're dealing with. We're breaking ground on Avengers: Infinity War. We have a board with 67 characters on it. You have to forgive him.", Joe stated. However, per Movie News Guide, Joe admitted recently that "67" wasn't the correct number of characters they are preparing for the movie.
"Well, we made a mistake. It's actually 68, but yes, there are quite a number of characters in the film.", Joe stated. However, despite the slightly overwhelming number, Joe guaranteed that the next Avengers film will center on the emotional arcs of the characters. "We have to tell a story and that story has to be built around the characters' emotional arcs. And we can only have so many of those.", he said.
It remains to be seen who among the comic book characters will make it to the big screen, although as reported by Parent Herald, rumors are plenty as to the possible characters who could be included. Aside from the main members of the Avengers comprised of Captain America, Iron Man, Falcon, Black Widow, Hawkeye, Scarlet Witch, Vision, War Machine, Thor, and The Hulk, several other characters who might make an appearance are Ant-Man, The Wasp, Black Panther, Doctor Strange, Spider-Man, Captain Marvel, and Winter Soldier.
Futhermore, Jessica Jones, Iron Fist, Luke Cage, The Punisher, and Daredevil from the Netflix series could also be included. However, such speculations must be treated with a grain of salt until Marvel officially announces their cast line up. Avengers Infinity War Part 1 is due to hit theaters on May 04, 2015.
