AT&T is now offering the Microsoft Lumia 950 on its branded prepaid service called GoPhone. The Windows 10 flagship device is priced at $598.99 and is available in black and white color variants.
According to Inferse, with the GoPhone service, the subscribers are required to pay for the handset upfront while they can avail convenient data packages according to their need. Among the GoPhone tiers to choose from is the $45 monthly plan, which will allows one to have unlimited voice calls and text as well as 2 GB of LTE data. The next one is the 5 GB of LTE data together with unlimited text and voice calls that costs $60 a month. Both of these tiers allow any unused data to be carried over to the next billing cycle.
Furthermore, TechnoBuffalo noted that with the GoPhone, there's no credit check and no annual contract, meaning subscribers can cancel the service at any time. Another thing is that both of the above mentioned plans offer rollover data. If users weren't able to consume all of their allowance for one month, what's left will be carried over for one 30-day renewal period.
This is the first time that AT&T has made the Lumia 950 part of its GoPhone prepaid service, although the Windows phone was available on AT&T Next plans since November. Based on the carrier's Next plans, subscribers are required to pay for a new phone in installments which are added to the monthly bills. In addition, users have the option to upgrade to a new smartphone as well by paying out the rest of the unpaid installments.
Aside from the plans, Morning News USA mentioned that the unlocked variant of the Microsoft Lumia 950 is now sold n the U.S. at a price of $550 while for those who are interested in buying the Microsoft Lumia 950 XL version, the device is sold for $530 at B&H. However, Microsoft is selling the handset for an approximate of $530
For reference, the Lumia 950 is Microsoft's first flagship device to arrive with Windows 10 pre-installed. This handset features a 5.2-inch Quad HD display and is engineered with a Snapdragon 808 processor. It is packed with a 3GB of RAM and a huge 32GB of expandable storage. The Lumia 950 also boasts a 20-megapixel rear-facing camera with 4K video recording and a 5-megapixel front-facing snapper. Lastly, this handset is powered by 3,000mAh capacity battery.
