Galante lands a multi-episode arc to play as a UMKC college student whom Regina bonds with, Mays will be making a cameo appearance as a college student who have some mysterious ties with the Kennish and Vasquez family, and Ortiz will recur the role of a tattoo artist whom Bay wants to work with.
"Jane the Virgin" alum Michael Galante landed a multi-episode arc in "Switched at Birth" Season 5. The 28-year-old American actor and model will be playing the role of Luca. Luca is a college student from the University of Missouri-Kansas City with whom Regina Vasquez (Constance Marie) bonds with, Penny Templeton Studio reports.
In addition, "The Vampire Diaries" actress Tristin Mays signs in as a guest star of the Freeform drama series to play a new character and according to Carter Matt, the 25-year-old American actress and singer will portray the role of a college student named Ally. Ally also happens to have some unexpected ties from both the Kennish and Vasquez family. Mays' character will debut in the episode 6.
Moreover, "Hit the Floor" actress Valery Ortiz has been cast to portray the role of Noelle in the upcoming 5th installment of the show. Noelle happens to be a a renowned tattoo artist with whom Bay Kennish (Vanessa Marano) wants to work with, Enstarz has cited.
"Switched at Birth" Season 5 is expected to premiere around April 2017 exclusively on Freeform (formerly ABC Family).
