‘Wonder Woman’ Update: Filming Kicks Off In London; Gal Gadot speaks up on role of Diana Prince

DC is going to be within the big screens in the next few years as they're doing more and more films revolving its comic book superheroes like Wonder Woman. The anticipated film have finally commenced it production for a 2017 release date. Meanwhile, Gal Gadot revealed her insights on her role of Diana Prince.

It would be a busy decade for the team of DC Cinematic Universe as they're bringing lots of character like Wonder Woman on the big screen and now, the solo film has finally started filming in London. According to Vine Report, the production team for Wonder Woman has been spotted in Trafalgar Square, Central London. Gal Gadot was seen in a set transformed to a World War I setting. Specifically, the scene is about The Armistice of November 11, 1918 just when the war ended.

Meanwhile, Gal Gadot have expressed her insights on playing Diana Prince in the film. Fashion and Style wrote that being Gal Gadot sees the role as an opportunity to inspire her 4-year old daughter, Alma. She said "Most of the movies, the men are in charge, the men are the most powerful ones. You've had Superman and Batman and everyone, but Wonder Woman was never there. I'm so happy when she grows up she's going to see a female figure she can be inspired by." Moreover, the actress shared that her mother is her sole inspiration in dealing with tough times, describing her as her own Wonder Woman.

On other news, Comic Book Resources reported that Henry Cavill might be featured in the Wonder Woman film too. It is notable that Wonder Woman will be revealed and debut in the upcoming Batman V Superman film due in March and might reciprocate the favor with Superman showing up in the Wonder Woman standalone film.

Cavill said he won't be near anywhere on the anticipated film of Suicide Squad but doesn't rule out his Wonder Woman appearance. Cavill said "In 'Wonder Woman,' I haven't heard anything yet, but watch that space. And in anything else, I don't know just yet if anything else gets shot between."

Wonder Woman is the upcoming film from DC and Warner Bros line up of superheroes. The film will star Gal Gadot as the titular character with Lucy Davis as Etta Candy. The film is slated for a June 23, 2017 release but fans can see Diana Prince in Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice on March 25, 2016.
