'X-Force' is an upcoming live-action adaptation of Marvel's fictional superhero team of the same name created by Rob Liefeld. Ryan Reynold's anti-hero Deadpool may feature in the new Marvel film as well as future films in the 'X-Men' franchise. Fox also scheduled two yet untitled Marvel movies after pulling 'Gambit'.

According to /Film, the newly released live-action adaptation of one of Marvel's most infamous anti-heroes may pave the way to an upcoming 'X-Force' movie as well as future installments in the 'X-Men' franchise.

Ryan Reynolds, who starred as the titular Merc with a Mouth in the recent release of 'Deadpool' said that he has made 'X-Force' a priority. He said, "There's so much material to mine in just the X-Men universe ... In the future, if we're doing a bunch more Deadpool movies, we're really going to explore the X-Men a lot. We'll see. And maybe X-Force - X-Force is my priority. I really want to get that in."

In the original Marvel comic books, X-Force is a fictional team of superheroes commonly associated with the X-Men but approaches enemies in a more militant and a more aggressive style. The team was created by the writer and illustrator Rob Liefield and was first introduced in Marvel's 'New Mutants' #100 first published in 1991. Their first leader was the mutant Cable, who is reported to appear in the upcoming sequel, 'Deadpool 2'.

According to Den of Geek, writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick revealed, "We will have a hand in [X-Force]... I think everything that Deadpool is involved in we will have a hand in and it's a universe that Ryan [Reynolds] and us are very close to and very protective of, so I do think we would absolutely involved in that franchise as well. If it's Deadpool related, I think you'll see some of our fingerprints on that."

It was also reported that Jeff Wadlow of 'Kick-Ass 2' will be penning the script for 'X-Force'. Deadpool is set to appear together with Cable, Domino and Warpath. No cast members have been revealed as of the present.

Meanwhile, according to Entertainment Weekly, X-Men's new standalone film 'Gambit' starring Channing Tatum has been pulled out of Fox's scheduled lineup. However, two mysterious Marvel films have been put in place for October 6, 2017 and January 12, 2018. It has been speculated that the new slots may be for the upcoming 'X-Force' film as well as 'Deadpool 2'.

'X-Force' is an upcoming live-action adaptation of Marvel's fictional superhero team of the same name. It will be written and directed by Jeff Wadlow based on the original work of Rob Liefeld.
