'Warcraft' is set to be released on June 10, 2016 and Blizzard Entertainment is considering giving out freebies to viewers upon its premiere. Meanwhile, UFC champion Ronda Rousey admitted to playing World of Warcraft in hopes of starring in the movie.

According to VG 24/7, viewers of the upcoming live-action adaptation for Blizzard Entertainment's iconic bestselling video game might be getting freebies from the video game developers themselves. Blizzard is considering giving a World of Warcraft package, 'World of Warcraft: Ultimate Movie Edition', to theater-goers for free. This includes the base MMO as well as all expansion packs prior to legion as well as free one month subscription.

Blizzard is currently working on gaining back subscriber numbers after losing a new group of 100,000 subscribers. According to Orange County Business Journal, the latest report from Activision revealed that World of Warcraft fell to a nine-year low of 5.5 million. Game designer Brian Holinka said that Duncan Jones' upcoming cinematic adaptation may draw back players.

Holinka said, "It's more of a broadening of the exposure of the universe to everyone... For us, our focus is just the game. Whether the movie's there or not, the expansion--and the quality of the gameplay experience and content--is really what going to help people stick around and play the game. I think it will get a lot of people excited; it'll probably turn a lot of people to [Legion] and that'll be a good thing."

World of Warcraft's sixth expansion set, 'Legion', will reportedly be released on or before September 21 this year. It follows expansions 'Warlords of Draenor', which was released on 2014.

Meanwhile, former UFC bantamweight champion-turned-actress Ronda Rousey admitted that she started playing World of Warcraft for "research" purposes in case she managed to snag a role in the movie. According to Gamespot, the 29-year old said that relying on original source material would help one get ready for an adaptation. She added that she always wanted to play Samus and that there should be more movies based on video games in the future.

'Warcraft' is an upcoming adventure-fantasy film based on Blizzard's game of the same name. It is co-written and directed by Duncan Jones and stars Travis Fimmel, Paula Patton, Robert Kazinsky, Toby Kebbell, and Dominic Cooper. It is scheduled to be released on June 10, 2016.
