Sony Xperia Z3v devices of Verizon Wireless have finally been updated to Android 5.1.1 Lollipop with a lot of enhancements that came with it like the device's performance being optimized with the help of security patches. The device is now up for something bigger in the next months as Android 6.0 Marshmallow is expected to come.

Despite being announced last year to receive Marshmallow by this quarter, this software update makes it evident that Sony might be moving the official release of the latest software in the next quarter.

Sony Xperia Z3v moves to a whole new level with Android as it opens access to apps and Android services on other connected screens like cars, TVs and watches. For the new material design, Android brings 3D views and complex animations, improved runtime and 64-bit support for ABI.

Android 5.1.1 Lollipop also brings the redesigned Setup Wizard which is now easier to use. The update also enables Sony Xperia Transfer Tool downloadable to switch to the device, plus a lot of new themes that are visually optimized for Lollipop.

For basic interactions, the Floating Action Button gives easy access to common app functions while Quick Settings can be accesses with frequently used features and apps by swiping down from the top twice. For volume controls, it now has three modes-select from sound (to turn on kinds of sounds), priority (for selective interactions) and silent mode.
