For quite some time now, there have been rumors of a reconciliation between Chris Brown and ex, Karrueche Tran. But since these were all rumors, there was no admission on whether or not the rapper was actually trying to get back with Tran. On his latest single, however, Brown revealed his feelings about wanting to get back together with his ex.
On an interview with People Magazine, Chris Brown shares the lyrics to his latest single "Back to Sleep." Though its title doesn't sound like the most romantic way to express someone's feelings, the lyrics tell of a different story. Brown sings: "Now where you been, it's been a year/ Baby I ain't seen you, you know I miss you/ Baby let me love you back to sleep once more."
Another portion of the song goes "And I know we don't speak no more/ But I just wanna tell you I'm sorry/ For f---' round with Keisha and Makayla/ For all the Georgia peaches in Decatur/ For all these bitches in the elevator/ I just want you to love me/ Yeah baby don't test me/ You know I'll do it/"
If that's not clear enough, Brown sings "You want me to say your name girl?/ Okay, Karrueche!"
The song features other artists like Usher and Zayn Malik. Life and Style Magazine shares that it apparently is an admission of his past relationship with Tran and also an apology for the number of women he has cheated on her with.
On Inquisitr, a source close to Tran shares that she is "flattered he mentioned her in his song." The source also shares that Tran has been "shaking her head with a smile on her face" as Brown tries to get back into her good side. There is no direct comment from Tran though.
The source also shares that the personal shoutout of Brown in his song came as a shock to Tran, who was caught off guard by it. She also shares that Tran thought of it as a "real and genuine" gesture. On her social media account, fans have been telling Tran to call her ex. Tran, however, is still doing her best to "keep her guard up." The source says that she's still not over all the pain that Brown put her through in the past.
Tran and Brown dated on and off for four years before their sudden break up in March 2015. The two broke up when Tran found out he had fathered a child with another woman. When they broke up, Tran appeared on "Fix My Life" and opened up to how she felt betrayed when she found out about her (then) boyfriend's daughter, named Royalty.
Even though she knew that Brown loved her, Tran couldn't convince herself to continue their relationship. Tran shared that she "saw a different side that not everybody sees. Although he's done whatever he's done... he's a good-hearted person."
Perhaps this new song could be the ticket to their reconciliation?
