Apple is set to host a product event this upcoming March 15. Experts say that the event will probably reveal Apple's renewed iPad Air 3 and the new 4-inch iPhone 5se.
Apple fans haven't embraced the idea of the company releasing a 4-inch iPhone. Tim Cook and the company called it the new smaller iPhone. The new iPhone 5se will come with the latest A9 processor coupled with an M9 motion co-processor, as reported by Motley Fool.
The 5se will have better cameras and an NFC chip will most probably be included for users using the Apple Pay which as of the moment is limited to its larger phones. According to GSM Arena, the 5se will a have a new Rose Gold color option and will come in 16 and 64GB memory option.
Apparently, Apple has embraced the idea that not everyone wants a larger smartphone. Sixty percent of consumers who used the smaller models have not even tried purchasing the iPhone 6, 6s, 6b Plus or the 6s Plus. This now presents an opportunity for the company to cater to that side of the market.
According to the tech giant, not all people will opt to upgrade to a bigger phone, there will always be consumers who prefer smaller phones and the market will always be there, and that's where the iPhone 5se comes in. It has also been noted that Apple took a long time to embrace going into the large smartphone category. Long before other smartphones manufacturer made 5-6 inches phones, Apple was still making money with their 4-inch iPhones; and it just shows that Apple never forgets to look back.
According to analyst Richard Windsor, there would definitely be a balancing act between performance and cost efficiency. He added that while the 5se will maintain a lower price tag by reducing its storage and memory capacity, this will also limit the phone's performance, as well as per The Register.
Speculations are also coming out that the company is now working with a smaller enterprise that's been powering their brand-new gadgets and the upcoming revolution in smartphone technology. That is the main reason why investors are now clamoring to be part of the Apple family.
