'The Divergent Series: Allegiant' is an upcoming action-adventure and science fiction film scheduled to be released on March 18, 2016. A newly released clip featured Shailene Woodley's Tris and Theo James' Four locked in a passionate kiss.

A new clip for 'The Divergent Series: Allegiant' featuring a passionate kissing scene between Shailene Woodley's Tris and Theo James' Four has been recently released. In the video posted by Entertainment Weekly, Tris and Four are seen climbing up what looked to be an abandoned structure. After looking out towards the horizon with the sun setting in the distance, Tris and Four share a moment locking lips.

The latest installment in the 'Divergent' franchise will follow the two lead protagonists as they escape the walled city of Chicago in hopes of exploring the world beyond it. However, they meet new antagonists and unearth even greater questions as well as challenges.

It will follow the events after 2015's 'The Divergent Series: Insurgent' after Tris, Four and their allies defeat Erudite leader Jeanine Matthews. According to Empire, their group discovers that their dystopian society is the effect of a dangerous experiment used to create powerful Divergents. Tris soon learns more about the mysterious Bureau of Genetic Welfare and meets a new character named David, who isn't what he seems.

According to Den of Geek, there has been much criticism over Roth's original ending, which involved one major character's ultimate death. The author addressed rumors of an alternate ending as well as changes in the film's storyline saying, "What does this mean? Well, basically, it means there are going to be some changes, but it's really too early to know exactly what those changes will be or the extent of them. I know changes always make fans of the books - and the author! - nervous, but hopefully the characters we know (and love. Or sometimes love to hate?) will still be intact."

'The Divergent Series: Allegiant' is the first half of the two-part conclusion of the 'Divergent' cinematic series based on Veronica Roth's bestselling young adult fantasy novels. The film will be directed by Robert Schwentke with a screenplay by Noah Oppenheim, Bill Collage, Stephen Chbosky and Adam Cooper. It is the sequel to 'The Divergent Series: Insurgent' and will be followed by 'The Divergent Series: Ascendant'.
