Top Illuminati Celebrities 2015-2016: Beyonce’s influence in entertainment industry fuels conspiracy theories; Kanye West insists musicians not members

Beyonce and her husband Jay-Z are some of the top celebrities rumored to be members of the highly elusive secret society called the Illuminati. The Illuminati is the name given to several groups, real or fictitious, that is said to have complete control on several aspects of society including politics, businesses and the entertainment industry.

According to the Guardian, Beyonce has been a favorite for conspiracy theorists for her rapid climb to the top and ultimately massive influence in Hollywood's music business. The 34-year old singer, songwriter and actress broke into the industry as the lead singer of the 1990s R&B group Destiny's Child. She later established herself as a highly successful solo artist with chart-toppers such as 'Baby Boy' and 'Crazy In Love'.

She describes herself as a "feminist", belting out songs supplemented with messages of female empowerment as well as embracing feminine sexuality. Throughout her career, she managed to win 20 Grammy Awards, became one of Time Magazine's most influential people in the world in 2013 and 2014 as well as being listed as one of the most powerful female musicians of 2015 by Forbes magazine.

Her climb to fame seemed dubious enough to conspiracy theorists, even more so when she wed one of Hip-Hop's most influential musicians, Jay-Z, who is also rumored to be a member of the Illuminati. According to The Fader, their daughter Blue Ivy is rumored to be one of the Illuminati's youngest members and whose name is an acronym for "Born Living Under Evil, Illuminati's Very Youngest". This was, of course, never confirmed to be true.

Other musicians rumored to be part of the Illuminati's scheme of ultimate world domination include Rihanna, Justin Bieber, Britney Spears and Lady Gaga. Hip-hop artist and producer Kanye West was also alleged as part of the secret society.

According to Seattle PI, West seemed to grow tired of the accusations leading him to pen a self-written article on Pen Magazine. He wrote, "If there was actually an Illuminati, it would be more like the energy companies. Not celebrities that gave their life to music and who are pinpointed as decoys for people who really run the world... I'm tired of people pinpointing musicians as the Illuminati. That's ridiculous. We don't run anything; we're celebrities... F- all of this sensationalism. We gave you our lives. We gave you our hearts. We gave you our opinions!"

Beyonce, Jay-Z and Kanye West are only some of the few celebrities rumored to be collaborating with the enigmatic Illuminati. Their wealth, fame and influence have been constantly targeted by these speculations, none of which have been confirmed to be true as of the present.
