‘Wolverine 3’ Updates: Film To Feature 'Old Man Logan' Story Arc, May Follow Deadpool's R-Rating

James Howlett, also known as Logan, is definitely coming back to the big screen to complete the trilogy in "Wolverine 3". The third installment is said to be following the wishes of fans in seeing an arc of Logan's story which would lead to bloody results.

Wolverine is surely an iconic character that many have loved since the "X-Men" franchise started, now the third installment in "X-Men Origins: Wolverine" offers the viewers what they really want. According to Inquisitr, "Wolverine 3" might set up the stage to introduce the "Old Man Logan" story. This is due to the fans of Hugh Jackman wanting to see his beloved character in such an interesting plot.

The Old Man Logan ran through 2008 and 2009 which showed an older, passive and loner Wolverine living in a world being ruled by villains.

With this at hand, the anticipated third installment might also be an R-rated film. According to Movie Web, due to the "Deadpool" topping the box office despite being an R-rated film, the studio is considering making "Wolverine 3" in the same nature. The violence and gory will be also useful in doing the "Old " story since it is time for the adults to see some of the best actions of Wolverine. Fans should be excited that there is much to anticipate in the upcoming "Wolverine 3".

Since "Old Man Logan" is being talked here and there, Cinema Blend took it to their hands to detail the comic art of Wolverine. "Old Man Logan" took place in the dystopian future of Marvel universe where the supervillains have gained the upper hand in ruling. Logan has since then retired from the X-Men team after his teammates were all killed and the guilt has rendered him useless; hence, leaving the Wolverine persona. Moreover, the graphic of the comics is described as violent as it can be which means, R-rating is a definitely 'should-be'.

"Wolverine 3" is the upcoming third installment in the "X-Men Origins: Wolverine" franchise starring Hugh Jackman. The third will be the last and final appearance of Hugh Jackman as the iconic character of Logan or Wolverine. Directed by James Mangold, "Wolverine 3" will hit theaters on March 3, 2017.
