Samsung is expected to release another mid-range handset, the Samsung Galaxy J7. It was recently spotted on the official Federal Communications Commission (FCC) website featuring 3,300mAh battery capacity.
Android Headlines noted that the Samsung's Galaxy J-series are mid-range and entry-level smartphones that were originally introduced last year. Now that it's time for the South Korean tech company to start replacing the aging handsets, it has launched entry-level models like the Galaxy J1 (2016 Edition). This device is being put up for sale in the Middle East and South Asia last month.
Nonetheless, along with entry-level models, Samsung is also speculated to be working on the next-gen Galaxy J5 and Galaxy J7 handsets. Both of these handsets are expected to be launched globally at some stage during this year. Meanwhile the 2016 edition of the Galaxy J5 was recently imported to India by Samsung to undergo testing stage. Another mid-range handset from Samsung has also showed up in the official website of FCC.
According to Tech Times, the FCC documentation is one in a long line of leaks and reveals. As the Samsung Galaxy J7 recently went through GFXBench's database, Samsung patrons discovered more about the upcoming specs of the smartphone. Another important process in the official launch path is the handset's appearance at the Bluetooth SIG; and finally seeing the smartphone in FCC's database is good indication that the official release is nearing.
Previous rumors suggest that the Samsung Galaxy J7 will feature a massive 4,300 mAh battery. But recent reports reveal that the handset will actually carry a 3,300 mAh power source. It might not be as impressive as former claims, but it still is 300 mAh bigger compared to the initial Galaxy J7 variant.
Aside from the battery capacity, Android Geek cited other specs and features that the Samsung Galaxy J7 will sport. This upcoming handset from Samsung will boast a display that will measure 5.5 inches and will have a pixel resolution of 1920 x 1080. This device will be packed with a 3 GB RAM and 16 GB of native storage.
As for its cameras, it will be armed with a 12 MP sensor situated on the back and a 5 MP snapper located on the rear of the handset. Finally, the Samsung Galaxy J7 will be engineered with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 while the other version will be powered by the Samsung made Exynos 7870.
Meanwhile, the phone tested at the FCC is a SM-J7109, a dual-SIM version which is targeted at the Chinese market. Though the Galaxy J7 has been spotted on FCC's listing, it is still uncertain when the device will arrive to the market shelves.
