Huawei Honor Holly 2 Plus Goes on Sale in India February 15; Device's Price, Specs Detailed

Huawei's e-commerce brand, Honor, will start selling Holly 2 Plus in India on February 15 midnight. This handset will be sold through Amazon India and Flipkart for Rs. 8,499.

According to International Business Times, Huawei released the Honor Holly 2 Plus in India together with the Honor 5X in India last month. The Honor 5X smartphone was made available for purchase on February 1 while the Honor Holly 2 Plus was reserved for a later date. The budget-friendly device will be available without registrations or flash sales, a trend which is done by several smartphone makers for premium budget devices.

"Holly 2 Plus is a smartphone specially designed for the Indian market with dual SIM 4G support," said P Sanjeev, Vice-President Sales, Huawei India - Consumer Business Group. He also added that with the new devices the company recently released, Honor is positive of providing phones which suit the needs of Indian customers.

The Huawei Honor Holly 2 Plus is targeting the budget-wise shoppers in India as this smartphone is the world's first to support 4G for both CDMA and WCDMA, as per Deccan Chronicles. This smartphone is running on Android Lollipop 5.1 and it features a 5-inch HD IPS display. The Honor Holly 2 Plus is also armed with a 13MP primary camera, a wide-angled 5MP secondary camera, a 64-bit 1.3GHz quad-core MTK MT6753P processor and 2 GB RAM.

According to Tech2, Honor Holly 2 Plus has 16 GB of internal storage, which is expandable up to 128GB using a memory card. It is powered by a massive 4,000-mAh battery with a reverse charging technology that allows a user to share power with their friends through Micro-B USB to Micro-B USB Cable. Aside from that, it also features Wi-Fi 802.11, b/g/n, Bluetooth, and A-GPS connectivity.

Huawei sold one million handsets in 2015 that includes 800,000 Honor branded phones. Globally, Huawei has shipped 108 million smartphones in 2015 and became the third largest player after Apple and Samsung.
