Though it was only October last year when Microsoft released the Surface Pro 4, tech enthusiasts are now curious about the successor of this Hybrid tablet. Dubbed as Microsoft Surface Pro 5, the device is expected to debut in the latter part of this year with newer and more impressive specifications and features.

Morning News USA stated on its article that the Microsoft Surface Pro 4 was not impressive enough as it was expected. This device has a number of bugs and it's really noticeable that fixes and some enhancements are needed. The predecessor was launched in October 2015, and now the upcoming device from the line-up, the Microsoft Surface Pro 5, is anticipated to arrive on latter part of this year with newer upgrades. With this, comparison on specs and features of the upcoming tablet and its predecessor are spreading all over the wire.

Latinos Health made an assessment in some departments of the Microsoft Surface Pro 4 and the upcoming Surface Pro 5. When Microsoft unveiled its Surface Pro 4, the company boasted its 9 hours of battery life. But a lot of users are saying that they get only get around 5-7 hours of usage. Nonetheless, this still depends on the applications the users are utilizing in the device. The Surface Pro 4 has a below-average battery life, so users are wishing that the upcoming Pro 5 will have a longer battery life.

Another feature that is expected to be improved is the device's weight. It was mentioned that the Surface Pro 4 is a practical and functional device that can stand alone as it can do a lot of tasks. However, if compared to other tablets like Apple's iPad or Google's Pixel C, the Pro 4 is heavier. At 1.76 lbs., its weight can surely be improved and it is anticipated with the Surface Pro 5.

Furthermore, Parent Herald added that Surface Pro 4 has a fingerprint scanner for biometric authentication, which is a plus for this tablet. User still has to purchase the additional accessory though, which is the Type Cover keyboard so that they could experience this feature. With this, tech enthusiasts are hoping that the forthcoming Surface Pro 5 would have the fingerprint scanner built-in on the handset itself.

For the owners of Surface Pro 4 to really enjoy the device, they still have to pay for the additional accessory, which is the keyboard. The tablet itself already cost $800 to $1500 and spending a little more for the keyboard is somewhat not practical. As a result, the fans of the Microsoft device are wishing that the future successor would offer a package of Surface Pro 5 with a keyboard.

Lastly,Surface Pro 4 users are also irritated with the noise which is coming from the gadget's fan. In fact, the said sound is already experienced in Surface Pro 3 and is quite improved with the pro 4. However, fans wanted it to be totally gone in Surface Pro 5.

The forthcoming Surface Pro 5 is expected to be launched sometime between June and October 2016 operating on Windows 10.1 Pro. The Surface Pro 4 successor is estimated to cost around $899-$1599 price mark.
